Grand Teton National Park Bike Path
All summer we've known that we wanted to take a family bike ride on the path that runs from Moose to Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park. We woke up today and decided that this was the day. Not wanting to tax anyone, we opted to park and begin our ride at the Taggart Lake parking lot (about 3.5 miles past Moose and 4.5 miles away from Jenny Lake). With Maggie on the trail-a-bike, we headed out. Everyone easily rode to Jenny Lake, where we enjoyed a picnic and chance to cool off in the outlet of the lake. While we love "the quiet side of the Tetons" where we live, we were all struck by the beauty and grandeur of the Tetons up close from the east side. On the ride back to the truck, Maggie got competitive and pedaled us to keep up with, and even pass, most of the boys :-). Once at the truck, Corb planned to take one or two kids to ride the remaining 3.5 miles to Moose; all three wanted to go! So I drove the truck, while they all completed 12.5 miles, which Brady was quick to point out was only 1/4 of the distance of Corbin's bike race on Saturday! We finished the day in style with ice cream at the Hungry Jack General Store in Wilson. A really good day.
