On Wednesday, July 16th, we drove to Boise to meet Gary and Sue. We arrived a little early and they were a little late, so we took advantage of the time to explore the State House. We were able to walk through the chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The kids sat in the seats of the reps for our (Teton Valley) district. They had good questions and learned a lot. Very cute! We had lunch with Gary and Sue at a restaurant called "Bardonnay," and then we transferred the kids's luggage, the kids and the bell (from Wayne) to their car. Connor and Margaret were very excited for their time with grandparents, and the fun was to begin that day! They were spending the night in Boise and going to a minor league baseball game (messages from Connor later that night told us that it was one of the best games he's ever seen!).
We've been able to talk with Connor and Margaret (Facetime, too!) regularly, so we're updated on some of their adventures. They are having tons of fun with cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. One theme for Connor has been cooking. Poppa Gary's been teaching him how to cook many breakfast dishes. He was also very proud of a blueberry pie he made!
