Maggie was anxious for me to read her a book, and I was saying, "Yes, I will ... just be patient." I walked out to the garage and back in, ready to read to her, and I found Maggie and Connor snuggled into a chair, Connor reading to Maggie. As simple as this sounds, it has not been standard in our house, so I took joy in the moment. Maggie now asks Connor to read that particular book to her, and he usually agrees.
