Baseball and Golf

On Sunday (7/29) was the Chukars' last Sunday afternoon home game, so of course we had to go!  Brady had agreed to spend the day in Idaho Falls with Lia and Sue, so Corb and I took Connor and Maggie to the game.  Maggie no longer has any fear of the Chukar character and sought him out for a picture!  Connor tried the pitching speed game a few times - good arm!  It was an exciting game - the Chukars won with a walk-off hit in the 11th inning.  The kids enjoyed corndogs at the game, but Corb and I waited and stopped at Big Hole BBQ (in Victor) on the way home.  The kids got to watch about 15 minutes of the Olympics (gymnastics) while we waited for our food.  Then we met Brady at home, and Corb and I enjoyed our fish tacos after the kids went to bed.

We had registered Connor for a Jr. Golf Camp at Huntsman Springs on Mon and Tues (7/30-31).  The plan was golf, fishing, volleyball and basketball - with lunch included!  A little hesitant at first, Connor warmed up as soon as the Russell kids arrived.  They had a fun first day (Tim caught the biggest fish!).  We figured this was a good day to have Gabby over to play with Maggie - they enjoyed a short ride in the boat when we picked up Corb from a morning Teton float, and they created, practiced and performed a dance routine for us!  That evening, we headed down to Victor for the last pickup baseball evening of the summer.  We managed to get there early enough for Connor and Will to get a few runs on the Pump Track (bike park) before baseball.  While hanging out that evening, Elsa convinced Brady that the camp was really fun, so he asked to go for the second day and ended up loving it.  He's hoping for more golf in his future.  Tuesday evening, Corbin and Jeff were able to float and fish, while the kids and I went up to the Russells' for dinner.  Corb and Jeff joined us at the end of the evening, wrapping up a really nice couple of days!
