Taylor Hike

The one thing that Susy, Jeff, Corb and I really wanted to do together this summer was repeat our "over the top" hike that we enjoyed so much last summer. With the amount of snow this year, that hike would have required some time on snow (even in August) and some pretty big stream crossings. Between the conditions and our limits on childcare, we all agreed on a shorter hike and managed to make it work on Friday. We chose to climb Taylor Mountain, which is just west of Glory - accessible and nice views!

Since it was a belated celebration of Susy's birthday, I stopped at Pendl's (local bakery) and picked up four morning glory muffins (a favorite of anyone who's tasted them) and put them in my pack and surprised everyone at the top. We enjoyed a beer and snacks at Wildlife on our way back to town. Another really great day.
